Title: Dick Smith- An Australian Electronics Retailer- Growth and Decline

Dick Smith is a leading electronics retailer in Australia. It has 393 stores in Australia and New Zealand. Dick Smith has been placed in receivership and voluntary administrators have been appointed in January 2016 (Player,2016). This case study is an attempt to look at the recent past of Dick Smith and the various strategies adopted by the management to grow and survive. The purpose of writing this case study is to provide a case example of a real company to management students to learn from decision making of real life managers. The limitations of this case study include that only limited secondary data has been used to create the case study. The timeline over which the company has been studied is limited.
