Review of Chemical Sensors

In this paper the structure and different types of chemical sensors are reviewed. At first the chemical sensor’s characteristics, specific difficulties, classification of chemical sensing mechanism have reviewed and in the following Direct sensors, Metal-Oxide chemical sensors, ChemFETs, Electrochemical sensors, Potentiometric sensors, Conductometric sensors, Amperometric sensors, Enhanced catalytic gas sensors, Elastomer chemiresistors, Complex sensors, Themal sensors, Pellister catalytic sensors, Optical chemical sensors, Biochemical sensors, Enzyme sensors, Multisensor arrays and smart chemical sensors have reviewed. However, nowaday many other types of chemical sensors have been successfully demonstrated in technology, but this review is a small drop of chemical sensors field.
