چکیده مقاله:

A study is presented assessing the technology and economics of hydrogen production by ceramic membrane and conventional processes. There have been many studies associated with gas transport through Inorganic membranes, commonly made from ceramic, sintered metal or metal oxide (Al2O3, ZrO2, or TiO2), Membrane separation of gaseous mixtures has come to attract much attention from the viewpoint of energy conservative recovery of gases, especially at high temperature, where most of ordinary organic membranes can‘t be applied because of their thermal instability. In contrast, inorganic membranes, which seem quite stable at high temperature and against most chemicals, will preferably be applied to gas separation processes as in. The preparation and application of ceramic membranes has received much attention in the past few years as in. Ceramic membranes are technically important in separation and filtration as well as in catalytic reactions, because of their high thermal, chemical stability and long life time. there were Six conventional processes are assessed: (1) steam reforming of natural gas, (2) partial oxidation of residual oil, (3) gasification of coal by the Texaco process, (4) gasification of coal by the Koppers -Totzek process, (5) steam-iron process and (6) water electrolysis. It is concluded that steam reforming of Processes based on conventional methane and ceramic membrane are the most economic near-term process and we can product purity hydrogen gas
