Intestine digestive enzyme responses of Caspian Kutum (Rutilus frisii)juveniles to practical diet

This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of practical diet on digestive enzymesactivities in juveniles of Caspian Kutum Rutilus frisii. Fish with initial average weight of0.8 ± 0.2 g were fed five isonitrogenous and isoenergic formulated diets with differentcarbohydrate levels including 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% and 35% in triplicate groups for 10weeks. Based on the results, Digestive enzymes activities were significantly influencedby dietary carbohydrate levels. The In conclusion, the obtained results indicate thatincreased in carbohydrate levels from 15% to 35% have not any negative effect ongrowth parameters, therefore the level of 35% carbohydrate in the diet of 2-3 g CaspianKutum juveniles can lead to better efficient in protein and desirable growth.
