چکیده مقاله:

Human botulism syndrome caused by botulinum neurotoxins which are produced by Clostridium botulinum serotypes A, B and E. The binding domain of neurotoxin is considered as candidate subunit vaccine against botulism. Despite the advantages of recombinant subunit vaccines, the recombinant antigens are less immunogenic than whole organism vaccines. Many studies were used biocompatible carriers such as chitosan nanoparticles for the delivery of antigens to the target cells. These nanoparticles could elicit desired immune responses against recombinant proteins. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of chitosan nanoparticles as carriers for oral and intranasal administration of rBoNT/E binding domain.
