چکیده مقاله:

Azolla is non-native aquatic plants that introduced into the Anzali wetlands, Azolla is recognized as an environmental threat in Anzali Wetland. Also finding new ways to generate power from renewable sources is the main aim of the world. One of these methods is combined heat and power unit from biomass. CHP is the sequential or simultaneous generation of multiple forms of useful energy (usually mechanical and thermal) in a single, integrated system. The aim of this study is to investigate our generation power from Azolla. we produced biogas from Azolla biomass via supercritical gasification and as a result, we achieved to produce biogas that contained 23.9% hydrogen. Finally, we simulated unit of CHP with gas turbine and Azolla’s biogas feeding, to investigate Azolla ability for power generation, through Aspen Plus. The results of a series of CHP unit simulations focusing on the effects of ambient conditions and we gained 900 KWh electricity from this CHP unit. Also one of the parameters analyzed in this research is the nitric oxide (NO) produced from process for different mass flow of biomass and it was 0.006 Kg/Kwh Consequently the results of our study depicted that this unit can be used as an alternative for efficient power generation from Azolla’ biomass.
