Studying the Relationship between Postpartum Depression and General Health in Women

Objective: The present study was done with theobjective of the relationship between postpartumdepression and general health in women. Method: Forthis purpose 30 women with postpartum depressionwere selected through available sampling. Data wascollected by General Health Questionnaire (GHQ). Thedesign of study was in form of correlation. Foranalyzing data, Pearson correlation coefficient andstepwise regression were used. Results: The results ofdata analysis showed that there is a significantrelationship between postpartum depression andGeneral Health in Women. (P <0.001, r = -0.584).Conclusion: The findings showed that there is asignificant relationship between postpartum depressionand general health in women.
