Flowing well head pressure in many reservoirs of south west of Iran reduces day to day. This problem causes to decrease the quantity of produced oil in production unit and undesired gas flaring is inevitable. In this paper some different wells of an oilfield in south west of Iran are simulated in different conditions: natural flow, running tubing in different sizes, using multiphase pumps on surface, ESP in different depths and gas lift, and the efficiency of each method is investigated. Due to fluid properties of this field, the change of flow regime by running tubing causes a little effect on decreasing in multiphase flow pressure loss, so tubing installation is not a suitable method to increase oil production rate. Also multi phase pump is suitable for few years but it cannot supply desired condition for long times. According to simulation of these wells, the gas lift can supply required production rate, but limitation of production unit in supplying enough gas for injection, high compression cost of gas injection and possibility of asphalt formation outperform this method. As a result, ESP can supply required production rate. It has more flexibility in rate and depth parameter compare to other kinds of pumps. ESP has lower economical cost compare to the gas lift. Therefore ESP is recommended as most efficient and economic methods of artificial lift for this oil field.
