چکیده مقاله:
teaching English in some countries like Iran in which people's first language is Persian and also people have different culture is somehow different and teachers should be aware of students needs and interests. Using technology in teaching is very common nowadays but it doesn't mean that traditional method is not enough for today's students. Teaching English alphabet with drawing is considered as one of the product of traditional method Which is so effective method even in today's technology years.The purpose of this research study was to determine the impact of the drawing as an instructional tool on Iranian preschool students’ alphabet achievement 34 students participated in this study and were divided into two separate groups: one experimental group who were taught through drawing and the control group taught through simple method (just repeating and simple method). An Alphabet Letter Recognition Test used to asses students’ alphabet achievement. The study was based on one term sessions (one session each week). at first the teacher gives a pre-test for students to be sure about same level of students. then, she give treatment for experimental group and no treatment for control group. finally, the post-test exam was delivered to students and the result of pre and post-test indicated that using drawing as a treatment has a significant impact on Iranian preschool students’ alphabet achievement.
