چکیده مقاله:

In the present study, nanoparticles of magnetic cobalt-zinc ferrite (Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) were employed tofabricate a new DNA-modified surface. A native single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) probe was immobilized on theelectrode surface, and the hybridization with the target ssDNA under the selected conditions was investigated. Cobaltzincferrite nanoparticles played a critical role to immobilize DNA. The DNA immobilization performance wasmonitored using methylene blue (MB) as an electrochemical marker. Voltammetric studies indicated that the peakcurrents of MB increased upon hybridization of the probe with the target due to intercalation into double-stranded DNA(dsDNA). The DNA-modified surface can be applied to study the interaction between of small molecule with ssDNAand dsDNA, and fabrication of genosensors.
