چکیده مقاله:

In this research work, graphene-epoxy nanocomposites with different contents of graphene (up to 3wt%) samples werefabricated via solution casting method and their shielding effectiveness were investigated at the range of 1 to 18GHzfrequencies. Results showed the effective improvement of electromagnetic interference shielding ability of samples withthe addition of graphene. For example it showed the shielding effectiveness of 12.2 and 4.7dB, respectively at 18 and4GHz frequencies for 3wt% graphene sample. On the other hand, it can be concluded that absorption is the majormechanism of shielding effectiveness especially over the 7GHz frequencies that approximately contribute to the shieldingup to approximately 90 percent. Also values of total shielding effectiveness and its absorption and reflection parts wereobtained 12.2, 11.6 and 0.6dB respectively for 3wt% graphene sample in 18GHz frequency. These results indicated thatgraphene-epoxy nanocomposites do not have only the ability for shielding but also are appropriate candidate forabsorbing electromagnetic waves.
