چکیده مقاله:

For the preparation of high-quality polymeric carbon nanocomposites, it is required that carbon nanotubesare fully compatible with matrix polymers. For this purpose, acid-functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (a-SWNTs) were synthesized. A novel polyamide was prepared from synthetic diamine and synthetic diacid bypolycondensation method. This new polyamide with the inherent viscosity of 0.23 dL/g was amorphous and readilysoluble in polar slovents. This polymer was used for preparation of polyamide/singlewalled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)nanocomposite by solution method. In order to enhance the chemical compatibility between polyamide matrix andSWCNTs, the latter was surface modified by incorporating acid groups by chemical treatment with H2SO4 and HNO3.The Structure of modified SWNTs was confirmed by FTIR spectrometer. The resulting nanocomposites films containing1-7 wt % of CNT were characterized by SEM, XRD,TGA [1]. The result shows that thermal stability of PAnanocompositeswere increased significantly with increasing the CNT contents in PA matrix. Morphological propertiesof modified SWCNTs/polyamide PA nanocomposites was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). TheXRD characterization of PA-nanocomposites showed two diffraction peaks at 2ϴ = 25.8 and 2ϴ = 42.88, correspondingto the structure of carbon nanotubes.
