Evaluation of modulus of elasticity in polymer-based functionalgraded materials reinforced with carbon nano tubes

The aim of this investigation is to study the elasticity moduli of the FGMs. FGMs are functionally gradedmaterials In this investigation, polymer based FGMs-carbon nano tubes are used. At first, the effective elasticity moduli are determined in each layer and for this purpose, continuum mechanics based method is used. The longitudinal andtransversal Young’s modulus of FGM is investigated in several radius in carbon nano tubes. Different compositions of these materials can be investigated and each one shows its own elasticity properties.
