Ecotech an old style in Iran’s architecture

Due to changes made in the last century, historical houses are extremely subjected to destruction, while the major part of the Iran’s cities are made of historical houses.Studies show there aren’t enough investigations a bout these houses up to now and there isn’t full knowledge about them , while function in case that are shaped according human requires and environment can be beneficial to reach in pattern of a suitable building .In this paper first analyzed the elements of the traditional buildings have multiple functions that between them windward the main characteristic of our architecture is chosen because of their time has advanced structure to improve natural ventilations buildings, then to study materials used in old buildings like adobe and thatch that they also had special features, and then indicate theoretical principles and stylistic features that called Ecotech in western contemporary architecture. Only use of natural ventilation or mechanical system in buildings isn’t allowed, also to reach in a suitable from in aspect of energy saving, and costs, have to blend natural systems with mechanical systems in a natural position.There are significant similarities between Iran’s old architecture and Ecotech style. After studies about use of technology and suitable use of clear energy in designes, we can say materials that have been used in old building are part of the structures building and also have climate functions, environmental and cultural. Some of architectures to creat links and coordination between the human and natural environment through architectural spaces are thinking about using natural materials and some use of native methods and re knew the properties of traditional materials.Vernacular architecture, the result of the acceptance public architecturs scales, is as a method of designe by architects, a means to continue rooted values in a modern context.
