Inoculation of Artemia with beneficial bacteria in feeding by the larvae of Beluga for promotion of production performance

This experiment was aimed to assessments effect of beneficial bacteria on production performance of giant sturgeon, Beluga larvae. This experiment was conducted in a completely random design. Artemia urmiana nauplii were used as a vector to carry probiotic bacillus to digestive tract of Huso huso larvae. Nauplii with three concentrations of bacteria, 1×108, 2×108 and 3×108 CFU/L in suspension of broth for 10 hours were bioencapsulated and were fed by Beluga larvae. In this study five species of probiotic bacillus as bacterial blend under the commercial title of Protexin aquatic were used for bioencapsulation of Artemia urmiana. The Beluga larvae were fed on the base of the 50 percent of their body weight for 6 times a day. The controlled treatments were fed on unbioencapsulated artemia nauplii. The results indicated that the probiotic bacillus could influence growth and feeding parameters in Beluga larvae. The final body weight and specific growth rate (SGR) in experimental treatments had significant difference in comparison with control treatment (p0.05). The probiotic bacillus had significant positive effects on average weight gain (AWG) relative food intake (RFI), Energy retained as protein (PD.KJ day-1), Protein gain (PG) and conversion efficiency ratio (CER) in comparison with control treatment (p0.05). Food efficiency was increased significantly.
