IRIAA Pilots’ Problems in Using English While Communicating With ATCs

Aviation history shows that communication problems can be a significant contributing factor to major aviation accidents. This paper intended to identify Islamic republic of Iran army aviation (IRIAA) pilots’ major problems in radiotelephony communications. For doing so, the researcher implemented observation technique using on-site listening to pilots-air traffic controllers (ATCs) communications. A total of 10 pilots were selected by using random sampling method as research participants to observe their communications with ATCs
