Complexity theory has been extensively used in the last two decades for strategic management oftechnology-based corporations. Proponents argue that it adds strong insight to strategic analysisand programming. In this paper, we‘ll review the literature concerning adaptive complex systemsas well as visioning in futures studies. We will then propose a novel quasi-SWOT approach forstrategic technology management of corporation based on principles of complexity to increasecorporation distributed intelligence. Meanwhile, we would apply the proposed method to Iran‘sautomotive industry to craft a transformative-evolutionary vision for it. Iran‘s automotive industrydespite noticeable growth production statistics in the last 15 years, have always been under thescrutiny of experts and constantly criticized for myriad of reasons. The novel strategic approach, ifapplied with maximum involvement of heterogeneous agents through participatory democracy, iscapable of introducing never-experienced engines of growth, entrepreneurship, creativity andinnovation.
