A Research on Galugahi Mixed Language as a Sociolinguistic Study for the Development of Linguistic Studies in Iran

Sociolinguistics is that part of linguistics which is concerned with language as a social and cultural phenomenon. It investigates the field of language and society & has close connectionswith the social sciences, especially social psychology, anthropology, human geography and sociology. This sociolinguistic research aims to investigate the necessity of work on the study of Galugahi mixed language in Galugah, Mazandaran province. A brief description related to themixed language of this geographical region as a part of Iran will be provided. This research is aqualitative descriptive study on Galugahi mixed language for the development of linguistic studies in Iran. The findings of the study can pave the way for the linguists interested in working on sociolinguistics and the development of linguistic studies in different regions of Iran.
