چکیده مقاله:
The need of methods to increase the recovery factor of the reservoirs after the last part of their life cycle which shows pressure reduction and reducing oil recovery factor, is reached is absolutely of obvious branches of nowadays petroleum engineering technology. Increasingly high amount of petroleum reservoirs in Iran, are going to reach their third era of their life cycle which no more oil wells will be profitable to maintain the reservoir pressure and subsequently oil recovery factor. On the other way almost no EOR strategies are industrially operated, so the study of different strategies to stimulate the reservoir to get more oil is of high consideration and interest. To acquiring this fact, simulation software are the most essential tools for predicting reservoirs behavior upon the different methods exerting them. The EOR method to be used for a typical reservoir is related to the reservoir characteristics. Due to these inputs from reservoir characteristics for one of the Iranian southwest reservoirs, four different EOR strategies are chosen to be exercised using CMG simulation software to analyze the behavior of the reservoir to these strategies and see which one of them is more convenient to gain more recovery factor from the reservoir through time. The most useful method obtained from the simulation process should be analyzed in order to find if it is economically applicable or not? This might take some more studies of petroleum economics, cost of operations and future oil cost prediction.
