چکیده مقاله:

In this study a computational model of a soft tissue includes a malignant tumor is presented. Soft tissues may be assumed as elastic or hyperelastic materials in mechanical modeling. Elastic simulation of the soft tissue is investigated and it is illustrated that elastic assumption is only appropriate for the case of small deformations. In some cases, large deformation of the soft tissue especially in the presence of a tumor leads us to a hyperelastic modeling. Here, hyperelastic properties of the tissue and the tumor are achieved from a data set of in vitro test of the soft tissue. Mechanical stress is plotted on the surface of the tissue in the presence of a malignant tumor. The stress graph clearly shows that there is a peak above the tumor head which is indicative of the tumor in the soft tissue. Effect of stiffness ratio of the tumor to the tissue is investigated thoroughly which is a decisive factor for the surgeons during surgical operations.
