چکیده مقاله:
Walkability is one of the fundamental components of sustainable transport and urban environmental quality. However, integrated and up-to-date data for its spatial assessment are limited in many medium-sized Iranian cities. This study presents an open-data and multicriteria framework for assessing walkability in Shahrekord, Iran. Pedestrian-network, building, and urban-service data were extracted from OpenStreetMap. The data-collection frame covered ۵۰.۱۸ km²; after the urban fabric was identified, ۲۹.۳۷ km² was included in the analysis as ۱۲۰ spatial cells of ۵۰۰ × ۵۰۰ m. Pedestrian-network density, intersection density, pedestrian-oriented service density, and service diversity were integrated into the walkability score with equal weights after robust standardisation. The analysed network comprised ۵,۸۲۳ nodes, ۸,۲۳۱ unique route segments, and ۵۸۹.۳۲ km of walkable routes, and ۸۲۴ urban service points were recorded in the study area. The results showed that ۴۰ cells were classified as low, ۴۰ as moderate, and ۴۰ as high walkability. Sensitivity analysis also showed high ranking stability under different weighting scenarios; the rank-correlation coefficient across scenarios ranged from ۰.۹۸۸ to ۰.۹۹۷, and the overlap of top-ranked cells was ۹۵%. Among low-walkability areas, ۳۱ cells required simultaneous intervention in network connectivity and service access. This framework can be used as a reproducible tool for prioritising pedestrian-oriented interventions in cities with limited data.
