چکیده مقاله:
Porous materials like metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) are widely used for gas separation, catalysis, sensing, pollutant removal, and gas capture due to high surface areas and tunable pores. A key way to boost performance is forming composites that provide hierarchical porosity (micro/meso/macro), synergistic properties beyond individual components, and improved stability or process ability (films, beads, membranes). Mixed-matrix membranes are a classic example, and COFs enable newer MOF/COF architectures such as layered membranes and core-shell particles. This article introduces MOF@COF beads: microspheres with MOF crystals confined within a packed COF nanocrystal matrix. Their preparation creates interfacial pores, greatly increasing surface area and uptake.
