چکیده مقاله:

Natural features, as the primary drivers of tourism, play a crucial role in attracting tourists and shaping tourism experiences in both urban and rural areas. Resources such as pristine landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, water resources, favorable climate, and geomorphological phenomena not only create tourism appeal but also enhance the competitive value and economic position of destinations. Intelligent utilization of these resources can lead to economic prosperity, job creation, and improved quality of life for host communities, provided that environmental management and natural resource conservation are observed. In urban areas, parks, green spaces, rivers, and protected areas not only attract tourists but also enhance urban livability and environmental health, fostering economic growth and enriching tourism experiences. In rural areas, pristine landscapes and biodiversity serve as the main attractions for nature-based tourism and, by generating employment and stimulating local economies, reinforce rural sustainable development. Tourism destination management and natural resource conservation, through comprehensive planning, environmental capacity assessment, and local community participation, ensure a balance between economic exploitation and environmental protection. The findings indicate that nature-based tourism, particularly in regions rich in natural resources, can serve as a driving force for economic, social, and environmental sustainable development, provided that comprehensive management, prudent resource use, and effective local community participation are simultaneously implemented. Accurate identification of natural features and planning for their sustainable use is key to achieving sustainable development at both urban and rural scales, enhancing the quality of life and the tourism experience.
