چکیده مقاله:
The growing penetration of renewable energy sources has widened the temporal spectrum within which power systems operate, resulting in more intricate stability behaviors. Attempting to examine stability phenomena across multiple time frames through a single, highly detailed global model—simply by increasing computational capacity—proves both costly and inefficient. Existing hybrid simulation techniques acknowledge the system’s multi-time-scale nature, yet disparities in algorithmic structures across different simulation platforms often restrict modeling and simulation flexibility. To overcome these limitations, this study introduces a modeling approach with adjustable granularity, along with a layered hybrid decoupling strategy tailored for renewable-energy-dominated power networks. The adjustable-resolution models allow researchers to regulate the degree of detail in equipment representation and to modify model precision regionally based on analytical needs. The layered hybrid decoupling mechanism accommodates power grids and renewable energy sites that exhibit diverse topological configurations, thereby enhancing the adaptability of simulations when combined with variable-resolution models. A case study demonstrates that this method significantly boosts computational efficiency for renewable-rich power systems while maintaining an acceptable level of accuracy.
