چکیده مقاله:

Introduction and Background:Establishing a healthy, appropriate, and safe work environment, along with designing high-quality jobs, represents a strategy for eliminating high-risk work in organizations and industries. This review aimed to synthesize evidence on how psychosocial safety climate (PSC) influences worker health, safety, and performance. Methods:A literature search was conducted in four major databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and CENTRAL) as well as other online sources such as Google Scholar. The reference lists of eligible studies were also examined for additional articles. Only peer-reviewed full-text articles published in English were eligible for inclusion in this review. Results:The database search yielded ۹۴,۵۶۴ records. Through a rigorous screening process, ۷۰ articles were included in this review. Psychosocial safety climate was found to directly influence job demands, job insecurity, effort-reward imbalance, work-family conflict, job resources, job control, and quality leadership. Furthermore, PSC directly affects social relationships in the workplace, including workplace abuse, violence, discrimination, and harassment. Again, PSC exerts a direct impact on health, safety, and performance outcomes, as it moderates the effect of excessive job demands on worker health and safety. Finally, PSC enhances the effect of job resources on improving worker well-being, safety, and performance. Conclusion:Managerial efforts to design high-quality jobs, prioritize worker well-being, and strengthen bottom-up communication through robust organizational policies, practices, and procedures may contribute to the development of a high organizational PSC, which in turn promotes a healthy and decent work environment.
