چکیده مقاله:

Digital mental health solutions, particularly tele-counseling, have emerged as innovative approaches to addressing the psychological needs of pregnant and postpartum women. Maternal mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression, remain prevalent worldwide and are often exacerbated by barriers such as limited access to specialized care, stigma, and logistical constraints. Tele-counseling offers a flexible and accessible alternative, enabling women to receive evidence-based psychological support through digital platforms without the need for in-person visits. This study explores the theoretical foundations, effectiveness, accessibility considerations, and implementation challenges associated with tele-counseling in obstetrics and gynecology. Findings from recent literature indicate that tele-counseling can significantly reduce maternal anxiety and depression by integrating therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral interventions and psychoeducation. Furthermore, digital services enhance patient engagement and continuity of care, particularly for women in remote or underserved areas. Despite these benefits, disparities in digital access, concerns regarding privacy, and variations in digital literacy present ongoing challenges to achieving equitable care. Recommendations emphasize the need for improved digital infrastructure, provider training, culturally sensitive program design, and continued research to evaluate long-term outcomes. Overall, tele-counseling represents a promising and scalable strategy for enhancing maternal mental health within modern obstetric and gynecological practice.
