چکیده مقاله:

Purpose: To evaluate various sonographic findings of ectopic pregnancy (EP). Method: This was a cross sectional study among infertile patients having ectopic pregnancy between ۲۰۰۹ and ۲۰۱۲. To collect data, history file, sonography report and laboratory results of all samples were reviewed and recorded in designed questionnaires. Results were analyzed with SPSS۱۶ software using descriptive statistics. Results: This study included a total number of ۶۸ EPs detected by transvaginal sonography (TVS) at our imaging department within three years. EP occurred following in-vitro fertilization (IVF; ۴۲.۶%), intrauterine insemination (IUI; ۱۹.۱%), frozen embryo transfer (FET; ۲.۹%) or spontaneously after treatment (۳۵.۳%). Diverse sonographic findings of EP were as follow: ectopic gestational sac (GS) without fetal pole (۲۶.۴۷%), ectopic GS with fetal pole (۱۱.۷۶%), and ectopic GS with fetal pole and fetal heart rate (FHR; ۱۱.۷۶%), a heterogenous mixed echo adnexal mass (۴۷.۰۵%) and free pelvic fluid with heterogenous adnexal mass (۲.۹۴%). Ectopic sites of pregnancy were: uterine tubes (۸۸.۲%), cervix (۲.۹%) and ruptured EP (۸.۸%). Conclusion: Our study demonstrated that the most common appearance of EP on TVS was “heterogenous mixed echo adnexal mass”. Gestational sac had been most often located in uterine tubes.
