چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The family is the most fundamental social institution, and the health of sexual relationships plays a pivotal role in its stability. This study aimed to systematically review the impact of sexual dysfunctions on family stability. Methods: This scoping review searched databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, SID.ir, Magiran.com, and Ensani.ir from ۲۰۱۶ to ۲۰۲۶. From ۵۶۵ retrieved articles, after screening and quality assessment, ۲۰ eligible articles were selected for final analysis. Results: Sexual dysfunctions affect family stability through five main pathways: ۱) Weakening emotional intimacy (۶۰% of articles), ۲) Reducing self-confidence (۴۵% of articles), ۳) Damaging mental health, including depression and anxiety (۶۵% of articles), ۴) Impairing childbearing (۲۰% of articles), and ۵) Paving the way for extramarital relationships (۲۵% of articles). The highest focus of studies was on psychological-emotional consequences, with less attention to childbearing and extramarital affairs. Conclusion: Sexual dysfunctions profoundly impact family structure. Islamic teachings, emphasizing "mutual sexual satisfaction," provide capacity for culturally appropriate interventions. A comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach is essential for prevention and treatment within Iran's cultural context.
