چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Interprofessional education is increasingly recognized as a critical strategy for preparing health professionals to collaborate effectively in complex, patient-centered care environments. The integration of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and simulation-based platforms has further transformed Interprofessional education delivery. However, the literature remains fragmented, with limited synthesis of how these innovations are conceptualized, implemented, and evaluated across diverse contexts. Search Strategy: This systematic review aimed to synthesize empirical evidence on Interprofessional education interventions across health professions, with a focus on pedagogical formats, technological integrations, and collaborative learning outcomes. Results: Twenty-three studies met the inclusion criteria. Most reported positive impacts of IPE on learners’ attitudes toward teamwork, communication, and role clarity. Studies incorporating AI and immersive technologies demonstrated enhanced engagement and scenario realism. However, methodological heterogeneity, limited use of validated outcome measures, and a lack of longitudinal data were common limitations. Few studies operationalized equity frameworks or assessed patient-level outcomes. Conclusion and Discussion: Interprofessional education continues to evolve through digital innovation, yet its implementation remains uneven and under-theorized. To maximize its transformative potential, future research should prioritize longitudinal designs, standardized evaluation tools, and equity-centered frameworks. Policymakers and academic leaders must support infrastructure, accreditation standards, and cross-sectoral collaboration to embed IPE as a core component of health professions education.
