Application of Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Applications in Nursing Care

Artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile health (mHealth) technologies have become fundamental components of modern healthcare systems. In nursing care, these innovations play a crucial role in improving clinical decision-making, enhancing patient safety, and optimizing the efficiency of care delivery. This narrative review aims to comprehensively examine the applications of AI and mobile applications in nursing practice, with a particular focus on patient monitoring, clinical decision support, workflow management, education, and ethical considerations. A structured literature search was conducted using PubMed and Google Scholar databases to identify peer-reviewed studies relevant to nursing and digital health technologies. The findings indicate that AI-based systems, including predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and intelligent monitoring tools, support nurses in early detection of patient deterioration and evidence-based decision-making. Mobile applications further enhance nursing practice by enabling real-time documentation, communication, and patient engagement. Despite these advantages, challenges related to data privacy, ethical responsibility, and professional competency remain. Addressing these challenges is essential for the effective and ethical integration of AI and mobile technologies into nursing care.
