چکیده مقاله:

High-risk pregnancies and neonatal conditions remain major global health challenges, requiring continuous monitoring, timely interventions, and accessible specialized care. Telenursing has emerged as an innovative approach that integrates telecommunication technologies with nursing expertise to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes, particularly among populations with limited access to healthcare services. This narrative review aims to explore the transformative role of telenursing in the management of high-risk pregnancies and neonatal care, highlighting its applications, benefits, challenges, and future directions. Current evidence indicates that telenursing interventions, including remote monitoring, virtual education, digital counseling, and technology-assisted follow-up, can enhance maternal self-management, improve early detection of pregnancy complications, support neonatal care after discharge, and increase patient satisfaction. Additionally, the integration of mobile health applications, wearable devices, and artificial intelligence has expanded the potential of personalized and proactive nursing care. However, barriers such as digital literacy, technological inequality, privacy concerns, regulatory limitations, and healthcare system readiness remain important challenges. Telenursing represents a promising model for advancing patient-centered maternal and neonatal care by improving accessibility, continuity, and quality of healthcare delivery. Future research should focus on developing evidence-based frameworks and evaluating long-term clinical and economic outcomes of telenursing interventions.
