چکیده مقاله:
The rapid expansion of the gig economy represents a profound transformation in contemporary labor markets. Characterized by short-term, task-based, and digitally mediated work arrangements, gig work departs fundamentally from traditional employer–employee models. Digital labor platforms algorithmically match workers with clients, allocate tasks, monitor performance, and determine compensation structures. According to the International Labour Organization [۱]. platform work has grown across regions and sectors, generating new income opportunities while simultaneously exposing significant gaps in labor protection systems. Although flexibility and accessibility are frequently cited as advantages, the occupational health and safety (OHS) implications of this employment model remain insufficiently addressed within existing regulatory frameworks.
