چکیده مقاله:
Research on public transport accessibility in Global South megacities often relies on coarse-grained spatial units and excludes crucial semi-formal modes and micro-scale pedestrian conditions. This study addresses this gap by conducting a granular, mixed-methods analysis in Tajrish, one of Tehran's most vital and complex mobility hubs. The research integrates quantitative user perception surveys with qualitative field observations to evaluate how high access density-the objective structural advantage of having multiple transit modes (Metro, BRT, bus, shared-taxis) concentrated in one area interacts with experiential service quality to shape public transport satisfaction. The findings reveal a dual reality. While users report high satisfaction with objective access measures like station proximity and usability, significant dissatisfaction emerges in areas requiring managerial and infrastructural consistency. Specifically, the lowest scores relate to spatial equity and schedule coordination, highlighting systemic barriers for vulnerable users and functional inconsistencies in high-capacity modes. Field observations confirmed that poor walkway quality, lack of real-time information, and vehicular encroachment on transit corridors undermine the efficiency and inclusivity of the network. This study concludes that in complex, high-density environments, structural accessibility is insufficient to guarantee overall user satisfaction. Policy interventions must pivot from increasing coverage to enhancing quality, prioritizing accessible infrastructure, reliable schedules, and comprehensive smart information systems to ensure an equitable and satisfactory user experience.
