چکیده مقاله:

Asphalt pavements, as a key component of transportation infrastructure, are constantly exposed to damage from climatic conditions, traffic loads, and environmental factors. In recent years, the use of performance-graded (PG) binders and recycling of demolition materials (concrete and asphalt) has emerged as a sustainable and economical solution. This study proposes a framework for improving the durability and stability of pavements by combining two innovative approaches: utilization of performance-graded binders in protective asphalt layers and the use of recycled aggregates stabilized with cement and reinforced with steel fibers. Previous studies have shown that PG binders enhance rheological properties and increase resistance against rutting and cracking. Meanwhile, the application of cement-stabilized and steel fiber-reinforced recycled aggregates improves compressive and flexural strength while reducing costs and environmental impacts. This paper integrates both research domains to propose a comprehensive approach for enhancing asphalt pavement performance.
