چکیده مقاله:

The optimal design of oil pipeline routes is one of the most important stages in the development of energy infrastructure and in reducing the economic and environmental risks of large transmission projects. Considering the effective role of spatial data and modern spatial analysis tools in infrastructural decision-making, the present study examines and designs the oil pipeline route between the Mamasani and Gachsaran petrochemical complexes using Geographic Information System (GIS). In this research, two main approaches were used for routing. First, by using the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the area, a slope map was prepared and the initial route was designed using Cost Distance analysis. Then, the land use map of the region was converted into raster data and, by determining spatial priorities including agricultural lands, forests, residential areas, wetlands, and salt marshes, the second route was proposed. The results obtained from comparing the two designed routes showed that the route based on land use analysis, with an approximate length of ۸۹.۶ km, compared to the route based on the slope of the region with a length of ۹۵.۴ km, was shorter and also avoided high-risk and sensitive areas such as urban areas and highly used lands. This route will also have lower costs in construction and implementation from an economic perspective. Also, the use of classified land use data in the routing process led to increased accuracy and reduced errors in selecting the final route. This study, by using the analytical capabilities of GIS and combining different spatial layers, provides a reliable model for pipeline routing in areas with complex topographic conditions. The findings of this research can be helpful for similar projects in the field of energy transmission and sustainable infrastructural development in other regions of the country
