چکیده مقاله:

Effective communication constitutes a base of successful construction projects, which require intricate coordination among diverse stakeholders. Miscommunication, information overload, and coordination challenges can precipitate delays, escalate costs, and compromise project quality. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), there emerges a transformative opportunity to reengineer communication management within the construction industry. This review critically examines current applications of AI in construction project communication by analyzing the deployment of chatbots, virtual assistants, intelligent collaboration platforms, and predictive analytics that automate routine tasks, enhance real-time collaboration, and support data-driven decision-making. While the literature reveals substantial improvements in efficiency, productivity, and team integration, it also highlights challenges such as high implementation costs, a demand for specialized technical expertise, data security concerns, and inherent resistance to change. Despite these advancements, significant research gaps persist. Notably, there is a lack of longitudinal studies evaluating the sustained impact of AI-driven communication, an absence of standardized metrics for assessing AI performance in these environments, and limited investigations into the socio-technical dynamics that influence the integration of AI with traditional communication practices. Addressing these gaps through future empirical studies is essential to fully harness AI's transformative potential in construction project communication management.
