چکیده مقاله:

The conventional Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA), which is a series of nonlinear dynamicanalyses, has been developed to study structural performance under earthquakes. Inthis method, a structural model is subjected to an earthquake record that scaled to several levelsof seismic intensity. These levels are selected so that they can cover all behavior of structure.The results of these analyses are drawn as one or more curves, the damage against theintensity, which are known as IDA curves. Considering the volume of calculations in theconventional incremental dynamic analysis, this study presents a new method for estimatingIDA curves, using capacity curves. For this purpose, six Single Degree Of Freedom structures(SDOF) with different periods and elastopalstic behavior are modeled by OpenSees. Inthis study, IDA curves are gained from suggested and conventional methods and comparedfor 11 near field and 11 far field ground motion records. The results have shown an accurate and reasonable accordance between two methods
