چکیده مقاله:

The Goshfil flotation plant (Bama Company) recently encountered a high-pyrite ore body. Although sodium cyanide effectively depresses pyrite in the lead circuit, its application poses severe environmental hazards. Therefore, this study investigates replacing it with a knowledge-based, environmentally friendly depressant, WXSD۶۷. Mineralogical analyses indicated the feed contains ۰.۶۴% Pb (as galena), ۲.۳۰% Zn (as sphalerite), and ۳.۲۱% Fe (as pyrite). The grinding time required to achieve a d۸۰ of ۷۵ μm was determined to be ۲۱ minutes. All flotation experiments were performed in triplicate to ensure reproducibility. Baseline tests using sodium cyanide yielded a lead concentrate with ۶۴.۲۷% Pb grade (۶۱.۳۰% recovery) and ۲.۱۰% Fe grade, while the zinc concentrate reached ۵۵.۰۷% Zn grade (۷۰.۴۱% recovery). Initially, introducing WXSD۶۷ as a ۱% solution at a dosage equivalent to cyanide consumption deteriorated performance; lead grade and recovery dropped to ۴۵.۰۳% and ۵۱.۹۷%, respectively, while Fe content in the lead product rose to ۱۲.۳۴%. However, optimizing the WXSD۶۷ dosage to ten times the initial cyanide consumption successfully restored circuit performance. This optimized condition yielded a lead concentrate grading ۶۳.۲۴% Pb with ۵۹.۰۴% recovery and ۲.۲۵% Fe, while the zinc concentrate achieved ۵۴.۵۵% Zn grade with ۷۳.۸۹% recovery.
