چکیده مقاله:

Bioceramic endodontic sealers have emerged as a promising advancement in root canal therapy due to their bioactive properties, biocompatibility, and favorable physicochemical characteristics. Introduced as an alternative to conventional sealers such as zinc oxide-eugenol and resin-based materials, bioceramic sealers interact positively with periapical tissues, promote biological healing, and provide enhanced sealing and adhesion. This review synthesizes current scientific literature on bioceramic sealers, encompassing material composition, setting mechanisms, physical and chemical properties, and clinical performance. Key findings from previous studies indicate that bioceramic sealers exhibit biocompatibility, dimensional stability, adequate flow, and potential antibacterial efficacy, while challenges remain regarding complete removal during non-surgical endodontic retreatment and limited high-quality clinical evidence. Understanding the relationship between material design and clinical outcomes is essential to optimize their application in contemporary endodontic practice and to guide future research directions.
