چکیده مقاله:
This study presents a numerical investigation into the aerodynamic performance and internal flow behavior of a high-pressure centrifugal fan impeller. Starting from a base case design consisting of ۱۰ main blades and ۱۰ splitter blades (۱۰B+۱۰S), the study examines the aerodynamic effects of removing the splitter blades (۱۰B), followed by an analysis of varying the full blade count (۸, ۱۰, and ۱۲ blades). Three-dimensional numerical simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance curves, including static pressure rise, overall efficiency, and gas power, as well as the shift in the stall and choke points. Results show that eliminating the splitter blades (۱۰B) lowers frictional losses and raises peak overall efficiency by +۴.۳۲% relative to the base case, at the cost of a modest -۳.۳۳% reduction in static pressure rise. Varying the main-blade count reveals a trade-off in which the higher-solidity ۱۲-blade configuration shifts the stall point by +۱۵.۶۴% through improved flow guidance, whereas the lower-solidity ۸-blade geometry expands the choke point by +۲۷.۲۱% but shifts the stall point by -۲۶.۶۲%. These findings confirm that the shift in the stall point is governed by flow separation at the main-blade leading edge, which is significantly influenced by the blade count.
