چکیده مقاله:
Ten percent of all vascular plants are used as medicinal plants. Herbal medicine may become a new era of medical system for managing and controlling human diseases. The remarkable advancement in computer science technology has paved the way for understanding drug functions and creating a roadmap for drug design and development and other achievements in the field of medicinal plant research. This review attempts to find the application of artificial intelligence tools to achieve numerous advances in medicinal plant research, which is done through a review of recent studies in this field. Results indicated that in most studies, the identification and classification of medicinal plants using artificial intelligence, especially identification through plant leaf images, has been of interest.
