چکیده مقاله:

This descriptive study maps and categorizes grammatical deviations among Iranian EFL learners, distinguishing the grammatical errors made by ۸۰ Iranian intermediate EFL learners through a grammaticality judgment test based on Li (۲۰۱۳), with a focus on interlingual (L۱-influenced) and intralingual (L۲-systemic) interference patterns outlining pedagogical implications for targeted error diagnosis and instruction. The research analyzes learner responses to Grammaticality Judgment Tests and identifies recurring patterns such as the use of articles (a/an/the), past tense formation, and subject-verb agreement (third person singular). The study classifies errors by linguistic origin and investigates how these patterns mirror underlying cognitive and structural constraints; by delineating the nature and frequency of specific interlingual and intralingual error types, the results provide pedagogically relevant insights for error analysis and focused grammar instruction, without implementing instructional interventions.
