چکیده مقاله:

The present study is a scoping review systematically examining affordances and constraints of blended English language learning with a view of providing insights into impacts of blended learning on the quality of instruction, perspectives of teachers and students concerning blended learning, and coping strategies suggested. A total of thirty-one studies were found searching all the Scopus-indexed Applied Linguistics journals. Based on eligibility criteria, sixteen articles were pulled out for analysis. Findings indicate that blended learning afforded continuity in education through synchronous and asynchronous modes of delivery, promoting technological innovation and pedagogical flexibility. However, the major challenges identified involved insufficient digital literacy among students and teachers, infrastructure limitations, and inequitable access to reliable internet connectivity. The study further highlights the necessity of institutional support, ongoing teacher training, clear guidelines for online class management, and anti-cheating assessment systems.
