چکیده مقاله:
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has introduced new possibilities for language acquisition, positioning AI-driven technologies as an emerging paradigm in educational technology. This study investigates learners' and educators' perceptions of AI-driven language acquisition, with particular attention to its pedagogical effectiveness, motivational impact, and associated ethical considerations. Adopting a non-experimental, mixed-method research design, the study involved ۳۰ language learners and ۱۰ language educators from two language institutes in Tabriz, Iran. Data were collected through an adapted version of the Artificial Intelligence Attitude Scale ۴ (AIAS-۴), supplemented by open-ended questionnaire items and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively to identify overall attitudinal trends, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis to capture participants' lived experiences with AI-enhanced language learning tools. The findings reveal generally positive perceptions among both learners and educators, particularly regarding AI's capacity to personalize learning, enhance engagement, and support differentiated instruction. Interactive feedback and adaptive practice were identified as key factors contributing to increased motivation and learning efficiency. Nevertheless, participants also reported notable challenges, including technical constraints, limited digital literacy, the need for teacher training, and ethical concerns related to data privacy, over-reliance on AI, and reduced human interaction. The study concludes that while AI-driven language learning tools hold substantial promise, their effectiveness depends on thoughtful, human-centered integration that balances technological innovation with pedagogical guidance and ethical safeguards. These findings contribute to the growing literature on AI in language education and offer practical insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to implement AI responsibly and effectively.
