چکیده مقاله:

This study aimed to examine the effect of acute alpha‑lipoic acid (ALA) supplementation on minimum power following intense anaerobic exercise in young men. Twenty‑five healthy participants completed two experimental conditions—acute supplementation with ALA and placebo—in a crossover design. Participants performed the Wingate anaerobic test before and after a fatiguing anaerobic protocol. The data were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA. Results demonstrated a significant main effect of time (F(۱,۲۳)=۳۷.۳۰, P<۰.۰۰۱, η²=۰.۶۱۹) indicating a decrease in minimum power after the fatiguing exercise. No significant main effect of group was observed (P=۰.۶۶۰, η²=۰.۰۰۹) and no significant interaction effect between time and group (P=۰.۱۸۰, η²=۰.۰۷۷). These findings suggest that acute ALA supplementation does not significantly alter the decline in minimum power induced by intense anaerobic exercise
