چکیده مقاله:
Introduction and Aim: In the management and treatment of colorectal cancer, nursing care is considered one of the most important key elements in the path of treatment and recovery of patients. Culture-based care is an inseparable part of today's care. The aim of the present study was to present a case report of nursing care of a patient with colorectal cancer based on Madeleine Leininger's theory of cultural care .Case Report : The patient is a ۵۷-year-old woman with colon cancer who received the care process over a six-month period based on Madeline Leininger's cultural care model, in the form of four stages: the first stage is the collection of cultural, social, and individual information; the second stage is data analysis and identification of needs; the third stage is the patient's core beliefs and values about health and illness; and the fourth stage is based on the findings of the previous three stages of nursing interventions in the three axes of maintaining, adapting, and reconstructing cultural care; in order to provide meaningful care that is appropriate to the patient's culture.Discussion : Implementing culture-based care using Madeleine Leininger's Sunrise Model significantly improved the quality of care and increased patient satisfaction .Conclusion : Madeleine Leininger's cultural care model plays a decisive role not only as an ethical and humane approach, but also as a fundamental component in modern nursing, in improving the quality of care, patient satisfaction, strengthening the therapeutic relationship, and providing fair, comprehensive, and evidence-based care .
