چکیده مقاله:

This study explores the synergy between traditional building materials and modern thermal insulations to enhance energy efficiency in residential buildings within Tehran's climate. Employing a combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional modeling through AutoCAD and DesignBuilder, it evaluates the thermal performance of ten wall types and eight roof types that integrate cultural heritage materials with advanced insulation technologies. The simulations, grounded in real climatic data, reveal that strategic incorporation of modern insulations alongside traditional materials can markedly improve building energy performance without compromising cultural authenticity. The findings highlight optimal material configurations that maintain climatic responsiveness while meeting contemporary energy standards. This research contributes to sustainable architecture by proposing a balanced framework that merges tradition and modernity, aiming to guide architects and urban planners in designing energy-efficient yet culturally resonant buildings.
