Exploring ethical opportunities and challenges in artificial intelligence

This study analyzes the concept of "control gaps" and "responsibility gaps". Given the increasing use of artificial intelligence systems in various fields, including medicine, transportation, and financial services, the need to formulate appropriate ethical principles and legal frameworks is clearly felt. This study emphasizes the importance of designing artificial intelligence systems with a sense of control and ethical responsibility, and provides ethical agency, provides meaningful human control, implements safety engineering, and uses social control as four main methods for reducing control gaps. Finally, this paper concludes that in order to responsibly exploit the potential of artificial intelligence, there is a need for a deeper understanding of the ethical and social mechanisms underlying these technologies. This approach can help create artificial intelligence systems that are not only efficient, but also ethical and responsible.
