Background and Aim: Exploring the Role of Cognitive Game-based program on social skills in Elementary Female Students Methods: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a game-based cognitive program about emotions on social skills of elementary school children. In this research, effectiveness of the intervention was evaluated by a semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest and control group. ۳۴ students in the experimental group participated in a game-based program about emotions including some games and a specially designed computer game about emotions (Emo Galaxy), and the ۳۴ students in the control group did not. Teacher form of the Social Skills Rating Scale (Gresham and Elliott, ۱۹۹۰) was used to measure their social skills. The obtained data were analyzed using Analysis of the covariance (MANCOVA). Results: Children's social skills plays an important role in mental health, academic performance, and adaptivity to life. Conclusion: The findings showed significant differences (p<۰/۰۵) between the experimental and the control group in social skills. Conclusion: The results indicated that this
