چکیده مقاله:
The growing demand for energy and the necessity of utilizing renewable resources highlight the need for power converters with high efficiency and superior power quality. Multilevel inverters have gained significant importance in modern power systems due to their ability to generate quasi-sinusoidal waveforms and reduce harmonic distortion. In this paper, a novel topology based on an extended H-bridge is proposed. By employing unidirectional switches and an algorithm for determining DC source values, the proposed inverter is able to generate ۲۵ levels at the output by reducing the number of used power electronic elements. So, capability of developing the proposed structure to generate the desired number of output levels by reducing the number of used power electronic devices is the other advantages of the proposed inverter. The proposed inverter and its developed structure completely analyzed. The accuracy performance of the proposed inverter is verified based on the simulation results on EMTDC/PSCAD software program under resistive–inductive load and for the ۲۵-level inverter. The obtained results confirm that the proposed structure generates high-quality waveforms with low harmonic distortion and this topology is considered as an efficient and scalable solution for industrial applications.
